Just in the last year, trucks' sales have tripled the number of cars sold in the United States. Out of approximately 15 million motor vehicles sold across America, around 11 million light-duty trucks were sold; just over 400,000 heavy-duty trucks were sold, and only 3.4 million "other" types of vehicles were sold.
Why, in the age of fuel efficiency and environmentally friendly vehicles, is the truck still so popular? Trucks are inefficient, right? Trucks are bulky and somewhat awkward to drive, right?
